INFORMATIONS

Version 9.4 includes many corrections and improvements to EPYplus that take account both of amendments to regulations and of more precise interpretations of the regulations themselves. The update is therefore mandatory both for compliance purposes and because it is a requirement for future versions. The most significant innovations introduced in version 9.4 are as follows:

• CLASSIFICATION BASED ON THE MAXIMUM VALUE OF THE RANGE INDICATED IN SECTION 3
• REVISION OF SECTION 11
• UPDATE OF THE SEVESO CLASSIFICATION
• MODIFICATION OF THE HEALTH CLASSIFICATION OF AEROSOLS EXCLUDING PROPELLANTS
• A NEW PANEL FOR SUBSTANCE REACTIVITY DATA HAS BEEN INCLUDED
• IMPROVEMENT IN THE DRY RESIDUE CALCULATION
• A FUNCTION TO REPLACE A COMPONENT WITH ANOTHER ONE HAS BEEN INCLUDED
• UPDATE OF WGK MODULE TO CLP
• SDS FOR CHINA: CHC HAZARDOUS PRODUCTS CATALOGUE HAS BEEN INCLUDED
• CHINA AND USA INVENTORY CONTROL FUNCTIONS (IECSC AND TSCA) HAVE BEEN IMPROVED
• INTRODUCED 7° APT

With this version we have also made three new optional modules available:

• Calculation and printing of raw material labels
• Printing of labels for small packages in accordance with the exemptions provided for by the CLP
• Texts in Arabic

It is very important that, before installing the update, carefully read the contents of the explanatory document EPYplus 9.4 New features and abide by the instructions and recommendations provided.

In particular, we recommend making a backup of SDS with classification according to the DPD, since they will no longer be able to be printed.

Also note that the CLP Converter function will be deactivated, since the new version no longer contains references to R phrases.

To install version 9.4 it is necessary to have already installed version 9.3.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before updating the software it is absolutely essential to make a back-up copy of the archives. Save a copy of the program Archive folder, either in local or on server according to how EpyPlus is configured on your system. Make certain there are no urgent operations in progress on the system.  Do not switch off your computer until the update is complete. We remember that once installed 9.4 version, a downgrade isn’t possible. Before to proceed with the update, it’s very important also to switch the Windows regional settings to English language. At the end of the update you can come back to your original Windows regional settings.

To launch the version update, proceed as follows:

1. Download the file EpyPlusSp-94.exe onto the computer on which EPYPlus is installed.
2. Copy the downloaded file (EpyPlusSp-94.exe), in the folder containing EPYPlus (usually in the folder C: Telematic\EpyPlus or C: Programs\EpyPlus).
3. Check that no other users are using the program.
4. Disable your anti-virus.
5. Double-click on EpyPlusSp-94.exe and proceed with the update.
6. When complete, an ‘update successful’ message will appear.
7. Operations 1 to 4 must be carried out on all EPYPlus clients.
